Who are we?
Greenlight Economics was established in 2009 by Perth-based Trainer & Economist, Christopher Smith.
Prior to this, he observed that 'what people got' from the finance industry was often not quite 'what they really needed'. Most professionals were more focused on making themselves rich instead of their clients. Whilst they still wanted to see their clients succeed, their main emphasis was on selling a packaged product or service which they were incentivised to sell. Trying to find someone willing to spend enough time with their clients to properly educate them in the use of their financial strategy was virtually non-existent.Despite goverment-attempts to better-regulate the industry since the GFC, huge gaps still exist in the market-place and people are failing to get the support and information that they need to act with confidence towards their future.
We are working hard to change this. Since 2009, Greenlight Economics has helped Australian residents from all backgrounds to create more Financial Freedom in their lives through smart systems, sound knowledge and a unique, tailored approach. There is a large void in Australia's financial landscape and it is our mission to bridge this gap for as many people as possible.
Facts vs Advice
The trouble with most advice is that you are relying on someone else’s opinion about what you should do.
And the fact is that no one opinion is 'right'; the only person in the world who can decide what’s best for you is you.
If you have the facts laid out before you (in an easy-to-understand manner), then you can make the right decisions for yourself.
No bias. No incentives. No opinions or beliefs which aren't your own and may not be appropriate.
If the information is presented to you clearly and you have time to properly digest it, then the ‘right answer’ will materialise over the coming days and weeks.
